Heidi Caye

Prior to opening this store, Heidi Caye worked as a scientist for a small consulting company in Boise and specialized in storm water quality and analysis. She moved to Boise in 2005 from southeast Idaho, where she was employed as a scientist for the Idaho National Lab and monitored radioactively-contaminated groundwater bodies.

Ms. Caye earned a MS in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho, and a BS in Environmental Studies from the University of Utah. Her passion for the environment and interest in environmental issues began in early childhood. She believes that positive environmental change is a result of individual empowerment, and strives to give others the tools they need to make environmentally-responsible choices.

Lisa Scales

Lisa’s son, Noah, is her inspiration for opening Green Foundations. While researching his environmental allergies, she learned not only about healthy building principles, but also about sustainability in all its applications. A dedication to her son’s future and the future of the planet motivates her commitment to environmental education through Green Foundations.

Lisa is a physician, practicing Diagnostic Radiology. Education has provided her the opportunity to live in several communities including Durham North Carolina where she received a BSE in biomedical engineering from Duke University, San Antonio, Texas where she completed medical school, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she completed a residency in diagnostic radiology. She has lived in Boise since 1999.
